It’s me arjun pradhan corresponded of Bhutannewsservice.com. I am refugee of bhutan. I born in tshirang and i came from bhutanese refugee camp beldangi one nepal.

Currently iam in United States of America, marion ,Roseville minnesota city. I safely reached here on 17 Aug from the roots of New Delhi to brawsel , new york and end minnesopalis. On the way iam the leader of 37 members and they also safe and resettle in different city. I miss them also.

8 Day Fine Art and Banner Writing training

A 8 day fine Art and Banner writing Training was sucessfuly ended in Sanischare Camp on 27th june 2010. On that training more than 40 students from diffrent camps and host community  including APF got participated. The training was facilated by Mr Nawal khatiwoda and Mr. DB Saru. With in that days of traning, also the competition was held  between all student in Fine art and Banner writing.  From Fine Art Mr Mongal Sing Rai became first and from Banner writing

UNHCR vows to advocate repatriation

Beldangi-I, June 18: The resident representative of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Stephen Jacquemet has promised that the agency would constantly advocate for repatriation of the Bhutanese citizens.

“Some of you are critical to UNHCR that it promotes just resettlement,” he said while addressing a function organized here to mark World Refugee Day 2010, “I refute such allegations. UNHCR is constantly advocating for your dignified repatriation.”

He also elaborated that resettlement package is at least a solution – it offers refugees different life styles, real future and dignified living. “You will be able to raise stronger voices for repatriation from the resettling countries,” he added.

अग्नीपिडीत शरणार्थीलाई तत्कालका लागि गि्रन भेल एकडमी विद्यलयमा शरण गराएको र उनीहरुलाई चाहिन आवश्यक बस्तु जस्तै खाजामा-केरा ४०० रोटी ७०० पिस चिनी दध र रातीको लागि आकश्मीक बत्ती आदि कारिता नेपालले दिएको कारितस नेपालका प्रमुख फदर अमलराज एस।जेले जानकारी दिनु भएको छ ।

आज झापाको दमक स्थित कारितास नेपालको कार्यालयमा भएको कार्यक्रममा चौध जना शिविरका दिवा र रात्री पहरेदार चौध जना सल्लाहकार र सातै शिविरका संयोजक सम्मान गरिएको हो ।

अग्नीपिडीत शरणार्थीलाई रहात विवतरण

अमेरिका स्थित टसक्यन राज्यमा पूर्नवाश भएका भूटानी शरणार्थीले बेलडागी १ अन्र्तगत सेक्टर ए ३का अग्नीपिडीत शरणार्थीलाई कारितास नेपालमार्फत रहात विवतरण कार्यक्रम यूवा मैत्री केन्द्र बेलडागी-१को सहयोगमा विहिबार सम्पन्न गरेका छन् ।
२० जनवरी २०१० मा भएको विषण आगलागीबाट करिब ४०० शरणार्थी विस्थापित भएका थिए । उनीहरुलाई आपतकालीन अवस्थामा कारितास नेपालले आवश्यक बस्तु वितरण गरि सहयोग पुर् याएकॊ थियो ।

 साहित्यीक भुगोलको कुनै पनि नापन गर्ने सकिदैन, त्यहाँ न कुनै सिमाना हुन्छ न कुनै भेदभाव नै हुन्छ । धेरै साहित्यीक यात्रामा लागिपरेका साहित्यकारहरुले यो मन्त्रलाई आत्मसात गरि कलमी आन्दोलनका लागि अघि बढेको पाइन्छ ।

सन् १६१६ साब्डुङ नवाङ नाम्ग्येल तिब्बतबाट भूटान आई शासन गर्न थाले ।
- सन् १६२४ नावाङ नाम्ग्येलको पहिलो गोर्खा भ्रमण राम शाहसँग समझदारीमा गोर्खालीहरुलाई भूटान ल्याइयो ।

Awarness on HIV/AIDS to Adults

Youth Friendly Center(YFC) Timai, Khudanabari and Goldhap-conducted awareness sessions on HIV & AIDS, STI, VCT, HSR and other related issues on dated 25 march 2010

The sessions were very interesting as the participants took great interest in the afformentioned subject.According to YFC-Coordinator of Timai Hem Raj Gurung, " Most of them remarked that they learnt many things from the sessions. They even said that this kind of programme should have been organized much earlier."

YFC TIMAI GIVES AWARENESS ON HIV & AIDS TO DISABLES

First time in the history of YFC, the YFC-Timai  conducted an awareness programme  on HIV & AIDs, STI and Health in sign language to the Disables of its camp on 26th March 2010.  

Narmaya Tamang, a core comittee memeber from the Disabled category led the team. Other resource persons were Pema Tamang, former Disability Programme Incharge of Timai, Rita Kumari Dahal and  Aita Sing Rai, Social Coordinators and Prem Gurung from AMDA.

March 1, 2008, 6:50 pm is an Unforgettable Night. The sun had dipped behind the mountains and the night had already spread its blanket over the Eastern Nepal. The sky above was clear. Stars had already come out to play in the sky-garden where one was teasing another with their twinkling eyes in joy. New Leader in YFC

31^st Jan. Youth Friendly Centers (YFC) now have new leaders.Election scheduled for seven centers of Bhutanese Refugee camp for 29^th and 30^th January this month elected new coordinators  and core committee for one year.

  First phase election conducted in Eastern camps elected ,in, Khudunabari :Kharga Gurung and Bishnu Maya Gurung, Timai:Hem Raj Gurung and Tika Maya Gurung ,Goldhap: Sagar Humagain and Sunita Rai as coordinators respectively.

Similarly, election conducted for second phase in Sanischare elected Yogen Bhujel and Ambika Rai as coordinator.Where as election result of three Beldangi camps are still not known.

One male and female are elected by youths of age group 18-25 of respective camps as coordinator, who is entire responsible of administrative function of center.A core committee compromising 14 youths is elected to run the center.

यूवा मैत्री केन्द्रको चुनाव हुने

यूवा मैत्री केन्द (YFC) ले २०१० को निर्वाचन यहि जनवरी २९ र ३० तारिकका दिन सात शिविरमा गर्ने भएको छ ।

२९ तरिकका दिन पूर्वी भुटानी शरणार्थी शिविर गोलधाप, खुदुनावारी, टिमाईमा हुनेछ भने ३० तारिकका दिन शनिश्चरे, बेलडाँगी १,२ र ३ क्याम्पमा हुने युवा मैत्री केन्द्रका कार्यक्रम संयोजक फादर पिटर जोङ लेप्चा एस.जे ले बताउनु भएको छ ।
प्रत्येक वर्ष हुने निर्वाचनमा १६ जनालाई प्रत्यक्ष रुपमा निर्वाचन गराईन्छ । प्रजातान्त्रिक रुपमा हुने निर्वाचनमा १८ बर्षमाथि र २५ बर्ष मुनिका यूवायुवतीहरुको सहभागिता रहेको हुन्छ । हरेक कार्यहरु कारितास नेपाल अर्न्तगत यूएनएचसिआरको सहयोगमा शरणार्थी शिविर भित्रका युवाहरुलाई शिप विकाश, समाज परिवर्तन जस्ता कार्यमा सहकृया गराई शिविरलाई शान्त बनाउने उद्देश्यले २००६मा यसको स्थापना गरिएको कार्यक्रम संयोजक बताउनु हुन्छ ।

दर्ता भएका भूटानी शरणार्थी युवाले मात्र यस निर्वाचनमा सहभागिता लिन पाउने नियम रहेको छ । हाल पूनर्वासपछि सात शिविरमा जम्मा गरि २५ हजार बढि यूवाहरुको केन्द्रमा सदस्यता रहेको छ ।
शिविरबाट निर्वाचित हुने पदहरु यस प्रकारका छन्
१. संयोजक - २ जना (एक महिला, एक पुरूष)
२. तत्काल संयोजक – (Event Coordinator) - २ जना (एक महिला, एक पुरूष)
३. Peer Educators - ४ जना (२ महिला, २ पुरूष)
४. समाजिक सहजकर्ता - २ जना (एक महिला, एक पुरूष)
५. बाह्य सहजकर्ता - २ जना (एक महिला, एक पुरूष)
६. Arts and Music संयोजक - २ जना (एक महिला, एक पुरूष)
७. Games and sports –२ जना (एक महिला, एक पुरूष)

तर क्याम्प ब्यवस्थfपन समितिको निर्वाचन भने कहिले हुने भन्ने बारेमा सम्बन्धित निकाय पूर्ण रुपमा जानकार नरहेको शिविर सचिबहरु बताउँछन. । नयाँ वर्ष भित्रिने वित्तिकै शिविर प्रतिनिधिहरुको मनमा खुशी छाउने गरेको छ, सेवा नै धर्म हो भनेर होला ।

YFC seen active in relief distribution,UN expresses sampathy

Beldangi-I, Jan 25: Volunteers of Youth Friendly Center (YFC) and Caritas Nepal, which looks after education of exiled Bhutanese children, are seen extra-active in distribution of relief package to fire victims here.
“We are highly impressed with YFC volunteers and Caritas Nepal for their extensive supports in grassroots level,” the camp secretary of the camp, TB Gurung, told Bhutan News Service.
According to reports, YFC volunteers played crucial role in distribution of immediate relief package and compilation of data related to damages and losses incurred.
Besides the immediate relief materials such as bitten rice, biscuits and instant noodles on Wednesday, Caritas Nepal has supported fire victims with mattress, towels, plastic jug and frying pans among others while AMDA-Nepal offered under garments and blanket for babies.

Caritas Nepal also donated a cash grant of rupees 7000 to Til Bahadur Pradhan, who is doing funeral rituals of his deceased mother.

Lutheran World Federation is already on the group with construction materials. “We’ll soon get huts rebuilt,” said of the Federation’s staff.

Meanwhile, the UNHCR has expressed its sympathy towards the fire victims. Issuing a press statement, it has mentioned that UNHCR including its partners are playing key role in supporting the fire victims with all sorts of support materials.
